Springtown wrestling stands out at Mike McCready Memorial
Springtown Porcupine wrestling had standout performances at the Mike McCready Memorial Tournament.

 

Springtown Wrestling turned in one of its strongest showings of the season at the Mike McCready Memorial Tournament Dec. 6–7 at Colleyville Heritage High School. The Porcupines battled through a deep field as the boys placed 10th among 34 teams and the girls finished 12th — both impressive results despite not having full lineups. On the boys side, Dominic Contreras picked up the gold medal in his weight class, while Daniel Wilson finished third in his. Lady Porcupine Zariah Nelson claimed gold as well, and Liberty Crilly came in third in her division.

Head coach Cooper Sawyer praised the team’s effort and continued development.
