Springtown Lady Pines participate in one of the toughest girls basketball district in the state.

The Springtown Lady Porcupines opened District 7-4A play at home Tuesday, Dec. 16, but came up just short in a 44-40 loss to Krum.

Springtown battled throughout the night and had chances late, but Krum was able to hold on down the stretch to secure the narrow win.

Addy Burtnett and Brylyn Bazzell led the Lady Pines with 12 points apiece, pacing a balanced offensive effort.
