The Springtown boys basketball team wrapped up its pre-holiday schedule with a hard-fought 52-47 loss to Life Waxahachie Dec. 16.
The Porcupines battled throughout the contest and had a chance to force a tie in the final seconds but came up just short against a strong Life Waxahachie squad.
“I am unbelievably proud of our effort against Waxahachie,” Springtown head coach Jason Riley said. “We took a very good Life Waxahachie team to the wire, missed an opportunity to tie with six seconds left on the clock, and we competed for four quarters.”
