What’s next for WCSUD?

Joining WFPUA is a process
What’s next for WCSUD?

During a Dec. 15 board meeting, Walnut Creek Special Utility District’s board of directors voted to move forward in joining the West Fork Public Utility Agency, ultimately relenting to concerns over the future of Wise and Parker Counties’ water resources. However, before being added to the official list of WFPUA members, certain proceedings must take place.

Because WCSUD is the 14th — and final — entity to sign the interlocal agreement, all other member entities must now make amendments to the ordinances allowing it (WCSUD) to participate. After the amendments are completed and approved by attorneys, the updated ordinances will be presented to the board at its next public meeting for approval.

From there, the cycle repeats.
