JANUARY
Springtown Mayor Greg Hood announced he would not seek re-election to the office of mayor. He spoke about his gratitude for being appointed to the position after the unexpected passing of former Mayor Tom Clayton more than seven years ago. He added that he intends to retire from his longtime employer, Tri-County Electric Co-op, in two years and wanted his focus to be on his job.
