The Springtown Lady Pines competed in the Eula Varsity Tournament over the holiday break from Dec. 29–31, picking up a 47-30 win over Graford while navigating a challenging stretch marked by injuries.
Springtown finished 2-2 in the tournament, but the week came at a cost. Junior post Brylynn Bazzell suffered a season-ending knee injury, while Olivia Williams played through a sore knee coming out of the tournament.
The Lady Pines returned home Jan. 3 and responded with a strong district performance, defeating District 7-4A rival Lake Worth 45-23.
