The Parker County Appraisal District reminds property owners that property tax payments must be received or postmarked by Jan. 31 to avoid penalties and interest. Under Texas law, property taxes become delinquent Feb. 1. If Jan. 31 falls on a weekend or legal holiday, the deadline moves to the next business day.
PCAD also noted that effective Dec. 24, 2025, the U.S. Postal Service changed how certain mailed items are processed. Because timeliness is generally determined by the postmark date, taxpayers are encouraged to mail payments early or to use a delivery method with tracking or electronic confirmation. The Parker County Appraisal District (PCAD) does not control USPS delivery times.
