Across Texas, cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts received $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for January, 4.9% more than in January 2025. The Texas Comptroller’s office announced the action Jan. 7.
The allocations are based on sales made in November by businesses that report tax monthly.
