Through a selfless act of community spirit, the city of Springtown will soon receive a donation in the form of a mural that will revitalize the old standpipe water tower located behind the baseball fields on the north side of town.

Longtime resident and business owner Casey Callaway, a SHS graduate, said he grew up playing on those fields and doesn’t remember a time the tower had ever been worked on.

“I've lived here my entire life, and I've never, never seen it be worked on … I don't remember that one ever being painted,” he said.
