The Springtown Police Department made a public service announcement Sunday, Jan. 18, urging residents to review and take the proper steps to protect their financial information following an alleged credit card fraud incident at McDonald's located on East State Highway 199 in Springtown.

Earlier Sunday, Springtown officers arrested McDonald’s employee Giovanni Primo Blount, 19, of Poolville, after discovering he allegedly targeted customers during transactions. Blount posted bond in the amount of $30,000 Jan. 19 and was released from the Parker County Jail pending court proceedings.

“Members of our community who recently visited the Springtown McDonald’s and paid using a debit or credit card are strongly encouraged to review their bank and card statements for any unauthorized or suspicious charges,” the public service announcement said.
