The Springtown High School cheer squad took center stage Friday morning, competing in the 2026 UIL State Spirit Championships at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
The Lady Porcupines earned a 9:47 a.m. performance slot after traveling to Fort Worth early Friday, Jan. 16, following a spirited community sendoff. Head coach Candice Adams addressed the team before departure, emphasizing pride in the journey as much as the outcome.
“We are so proud of them, and no matter what happens tomorrow, they have shown up day in and day out,” Adams said. “I’m just so blessed to be their coach.”
