Springtown basketball teams were forced to play catch-up last week after an ice storm reshuffled the District 7-4A schedule, sending both the Porcupines and Lady Pines into back-to-back games Thursday and Friday.

The Springtown Lady Pines opened the stretch with a strong road performance Thursday, defeating Lake Worth 52-26 in a game originally scheduled for earlier in the week.

Springtown returned home Friday night to face Bridgeport, but the Sissies jumped out early and built a 21-12 halftime lead. Bridgeport maintained control in the second half and handed the Lady Pines a 47-29 district loss.
