The Springtown boys and girls basketball teams are winding down the 2026 season, with the Lady Porcupines closing out their schedule and the Porcupines picking up a key district win as the regular season nears its end.

The Lady Porcupines took care of business Tuesday, Feb. 3, rolling past Castleberry 60-9 on the road. Springtown set the tone early and never let up, earning a decisive district victory. The Lady Pines finished the season with a 14-16 overall record and went 5-8 in district play.

Friday, Feb. 6, Springtown hosted Class 4A state-ranked Decatur, but the Lady Eagles proved too much, pulling away for a 61-18 win. The loss capped the Lady Porcupines’ home slate before closing the season earlier this week at Eagle Mountain.
