The Lady Porcupine powerlifters turned in an impressive showing Saturday at Wylie High School, finishing second in one of the toughest meets of the season against elite competition.
Springtown scored 55 team points, narrowly trailing host Wylie, the defending Class 6A state champion, which finished with 60 points.
“Despite facing several challenges throughout the meet, the girls never gave up and showed tremendous determination and grit,” Springtown head coach Misty Castro said.
