Springtown High School celebrated National Signing Day Wednesday, Feb. 4, as six Porcupine student-athletes signed their national letters of intent in front of family, teammates and supporters at the Porcupine Gym.
The group represented a wide range of Springtown athletics. Layton Murrell signed to continue his baseball career at Navarro College, while fellow baseball standout Kaden Howard committed to Western Oklahoma State College.
On the football side, Christian Mendoza signed with Eastern New Mexico University, where former Baylor head coach Art Briles now leads the Greyhounds, and Jon Lardizabal committed to Hardin-Simmons University.
