The Springtown Porcupine golf teams teed up for the first time this spring Tuesday, Feb. 25, competing in the District 7-4A preview tournament at Turtle Hill Golf Course.
Senior Dixie Mae Crain highlighted the day with a standout performance, finishing with a tournament-best 3-under-par 69 to lead the girl’s field. The Lady Porcupines placed third overall as a team with a combined score of 446.
On the boys side, Springtown finished sixth overall with a team score of 367. Ernie Dallas paced the Porcupines with a solid 79, earning an eighth-place finish individually.
