First-graders at Goshen Creek Elementary celebrated the 120th day of school March 11. Students dressed up as 120- year-olds and celebrated not only the 120th day of school but also a major math milestone — being able to count to 120.

“Our objectives go to the number 120 in first grade. That is why we celebrate the 120th day of school instead of the 100th day. Because in kindergarten they go up to 100 and in first grade we go up to 120,” first grade teacher Shayli Tilghman said.

Celebrating the 120th of school has been a tradition for first graders at Goshen for five years now.
