Longtime Porcupine head football coach Bill Reed is the starter at home Porcupine track meets — something he’s done for 2 decades

Springtown High School hosted the Brad Legan Friends and Family Invitational Thursday, March 12, at Porcupine Stadium, and the hometown Porcupines made the most of the opportunity.

The Springtown varsity boys captured the team championship with 158 points, led by several first-place finishes. Dillon Kates won the 800-meter run, Nicholas Garcia claimed the 200-meter title, and Pilot Grubis took first in the 300-meter hurdles.

The Porcupines also won the 4x400-meter relay with a team made up of Kaine Hill, Dillon Kates, Aiden Adams and Pilot Grubis.
