The Springtown High School Porcupines baseball team had a successful spring break, picking up two wins over Burkburnett High School, including an 11-2 victory at home Friday, March 20.
Left-handed pitcher Kaden Howard got the start on the mound for the Porcupines in Friday’s matchup as Springtown completed the two-game sweep of the Bulldogs. Earlier in the week, on Tuesday, March 17, the Porcupines jumped out early and rolled to a 19-4 win over Burkburnett.
In Friday’s game, Springtown held a 5-2 lead before breaking the game open in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring six runs to extend the lead to 11-2 and secure the win.
