The Lady Porcupines golf team competed in the district tournament March 27 and March 30 at Turtle Hill Golf Course, highlighted by a dominant performance by Dixie Mae Crain.
Crain led the field after the first day of competition Friday, shooting a 1-over-par 73. Eagle Mountain led the team standings after Day 1 with a score of 366, while Springtown finished the first round with a team total of 411. Other members of the Lady Porcupines varsity team included Brylee Pitts, Avery Miller, Kaslynn St. Pierre and Tristen Finchum.
On Day 2, played Monday, Crain extended her lead and finished the two-day tournament 32 strokes ahead of the field to claim the 2026 district championship. The Lady Pines finished fourth overall in the team standings.
