Springtown Winterguard records historic season, finishes 12th at NTCA State
Springtown High School’s Winterguard had its best finish ever, ending the year ranked 12th in the state.

The 2026 season proved to be the most successful in the history of the Springtown Winterguard program, according to director Cheyenne Uribe, as the team advanced to the North Texas Colorguard Association (NTCA) Scholastic A State Championship and finished the season ranked No. 13.

Springtown’s show this season was titled “Cool by the Pool,” and the team was led by senior Captain Mia Guillen, junior First Lt. Connor Draper and junior Second Lt. Alexia Vega.

The season began Feb. 6 at Keller Timber Creek, where Springtown competed in the NTCA Regional A class and earned first place. The team followed that performance with another first-place finish Feb. 28 at Mansfield Summit, which resulted in a promotion to the Scholastic AA classification.
