Spring is a busy season for Springtown FFA, and the Porcupines’ veterinary science team has been on the road preparing for the Area IV Career Development Event state qualifying competition.
The team competed in four contests across West Texas, traveling more than 760 miles and experiencing the region’s tumbleweeds and strong winds along the way.
The first competition was held at Tarleton State University, where the Porcupines finished fourth in Area IV competition. Brooklyn May was the team’s high-point individual, and the team placed 15th overall among 218 FFA teams.
