Kimmy Dorado is the marketing and ad sales representative for The Azle News / Springtown Epigraph, where she helps drive revenue and build strong client relationships.
Dorado was born in Pasadena, California and spent most of her life in Big Bear Lake, also in California. She, her husband David and their youngest son, Tristan, moved to Azle in 2021 from Big Bear Lake. Before Dorado got into the newspaper business, she had been a server for 30 years and when the family settled in Azle she got a job at Moe’s Country Kitchen to help her figure out what she wanted to do next.
“The first day working there, (former newspaper publisher) Kim (Ware) walked in and met me, and she went to go talk to my sister, who, throughout our conversation, she figured out she knew my sister from her doctor's office. She left there and went straight over to talk to my sister and asked her questions about me, just to get a little bit more information about me. Then she gave her phone number and said, ‘Please have her give me a call. I'd like to interview her for a job.’ The very next day, I came in, interviewed and accepted the job,” Dorado said.
