Springtown Porcupine Pilot Grubis won the 110-meter hurdles at the district meet.

Hosting the District 8-4A Track and Field Championships April 8-9 at Porcupine Stadium, the Springtown Porcupines enjoyed a dominant showing, with the varsity and JV girls both claiming district team championships while the JV boys also captured a district title.

The Lady Porcupines were paced by several district champions, including Marleigh Perales in the 200-meter dash, Madylyn Walker in both the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs, and Mariam Kolb in the shot put and discus.

Springtown also collected multiple silver medals on the girls side. Kaylee Falcon finished second in the shot put, Kylee McNeely was runner-up in the discus, and Kaylee Sweeley placed second in the 100-meter hurdles. The Lady Porcupines’ 400-meter relay team of Caroline Dittmar, Perales, Hannah Dittmar and Kayden Spencer also earned silver.
