BASEBALL
The Porcupine varsity squad lost to Iowa Park 3-1 Tuesday, April 7. Both teams battled on the mound Tuesday night, but the Iowa Park Hawks came out on top. Cash Smith started on the mound for Springtown and also went one-for-one at the plate.
The Porcupine varsity fell to Paradise 6-2 Saturday, April 10. The Porcupines opened the scoring in the second inning after Smith singled, scoring a run. The Porcupines added another run in the third inning. Kaden Howard got the start on the mound for the Porcupines. Howard allowed nine hits and six runs.
SOFTBALL
The Lady Pines varsity destroyed Lake Worth Monday, April 6 17-0. Kylie Spray started in the circle with Kaylee Falcon finishing up. Sage Jacobson led the Lady Pines with three RBIs.
The Lady Pines varsity then traveled to Bridgeport where they continued their onslaught of district teams by dominating Bridgeport 13-0. Falcon had a home run and two RBIs.
The Lady Pines varsity took no mercy onCastleberry Friday, April 10 when they slammed the Lady Lions 17-2. Kaylee Falcon and Addyson Fyffe each had home runs. Fyffe had five RBIs. Kylee Spray pitched three innings, and Sage Jacobson pitched two innings striking out five batters.
The Lady Pines JV defeated Lake Worth 16-0 Monday, April 6. They followed that up by blasting Bridgeport 15-0. The Lady Pines JV defeated Castleberry 16-1 Friday, April 10.
