Martha Fowler grew up in Reno surrounded by a community that was always willing to help others. Her grandfather always helped the neighbors and shared what he could with them.
She attended Springtown schools almost her entire life except for her sophomore year when she went to Azle ISD. She graduated from Springtown High School in 1960 at the age of 16.
She met her husband, Bobby Fowler, in 1957 while she was walking down the steps at Azle High School, which is now Azle Junior High. They dated for four years and were together almost 51 years before he passed away in 2012.
