What is your name and grade?

“My name is Riley Morrison and I’m going into my senior year.”

Do you have any pets?

“Yeah, I have three dogs, Duke, Pepper and Dandy.”

What is your favorite class right now?

“I think it would be my teaching class. I want to be a teacher.”

What is your favorite sport?

“Softball.”

Do you have a shout out for anyone?

“Yes, my parents — my mom, my dad. I wouldn’t be here without them.”

How long have you been involved in softball?

“Since I was 4 or 5, so 13 years.”

Lebron or Michael?

“Michael.”

What advice would you give younger athletes?

“I think my advice would be to play for yourself. Play hard for you and your teammates.”

What is life after high school going to look like?

“I want to go to college to become an elementary teacher.”

What is your pre-game routine?

“I think mine would be just praying before every game.”

Tell me about a game or moment you’ll never forget?

“My freshman year when we beat Decatur. It felt awesome — it was the first time we beat them in a while.”

What has sports taught you about life?

“Sports has taught me just to push through. There’s so many highs and lows in this sport.”
