Basketball camp focuses on fundamentals, building the future
Head boys basketball coach Jason Riley opened the annual basketball camp stressing the fundamentals.

The next generation of Porcupine basketball players hit the court June 8-10 as Springtown's annual boys basketball camp tipped off with a strong turnout and an emphasis on the fundamentals of the game.

Head coach Jason Riley said 50 campers in grades 3-5 participated in the three-day camp, where instruction centered on the building blocks of basketball success.

From ball handling and shooting to defensive positioning and the triple-threat stance, Riley and his coaching staff stressed the importance of mastering the fundamentals while creating a fun and competitive learning environment.
