The next generation of Porcupine basketball players hit the court June 8-10 as Springtown's annual boys basketball camp tipped off with a strong turnout and an emphasis on the fundamentals of the game.
Head coach Jason Riley said 50 campers in grades 3-5 participated in the three-day camp, where instruction centered on the building blocks of basketball success.
From ball handling and shooting to defensive positioning and the triple-threat stance, Riley and his coaching staff stressed the importance of mastering the fundamentals while creating a fun and competitive learning environment.
