Summer may be in full swing, but the work toward basketball season is already underway for the Springtown Lady Porcupines.
Head girls basketball coach Ken Thompson put his players through a 30-minute skills workout Wednesday, June 10 at the Springtown High School gym following the morning POJO Maker strength and conditioning session.
The weekly skills workouts are designed to reinforce the fundamentals of the game while allowing players to continue developing throughout the offseason. Wednesday's session included a mix of seventh- and eighth-grade athletes along with members of the high school freshman, junior varsity and varsity squads.
