A Parker County grand jury met June 25 in Weatherford to consider evidence in criminal cases presented by the Parker County District Attorney’s office. An indictment is a formal accusation and is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
The grand jury handed down 74 indictments; among them were indictments against 10 Springtown residents as well as one Azle resident.
- James Loyd Covey, 58, of Springtown, was indicted on one count of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1, 4-200 grams, a first-degree felony. Covey was also indicted on one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third-degree felony.
- Maynor Joel Mancia-Marquez, 25, of Springtown, was indicted on one count of abandoning or endangering a child. The charge is a state jail felony.
- Joe Ramirez, 49, of Springtown, was indicted on one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14, a first-degree felony; one count of sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony; and one count of indecency with a child with sexual contact, a second-degree felony.
- Sabrina Saldivar Wagner, 55, of Azle, was indicted on one count of violating a bond or protective order two times within a 12-month period. The charge is a third-degree felony.
- Brielly Gavin-Garza Bishop, 19, of Springtown, was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 2, 1-4 grams. The charge is a third-degree felony.
- Giovanni Primo Blount, 19, of Springtown, was indicted on one count of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, five to 10 items. The charge is a third-degree felony.
- Hunter Wayne Brazil, 23, of Springtown, was indicted on one count of possession of marijuana, between 4 ounces and 50 pounds. The charge is a state jail felony.
- Heather Marie Freeman, 40, of Springtown, was indicted on a single count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The charge is a second-degree felony.
- Dakota James Lunsford, 37, of Springtown, was indicted on one count of criminal mischief, $2,500-$30,000. The charge is a state jail felony.
- Mason Jeremy Proffitt, 52, of Springtown, was indicted on one count of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information of an elderly person, five or fewer items. The charge is a third-degree felony.
- Jackie Ray Tamplen, 68, of Springtown, was indicted on a single count of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1, 4-200 grams. The charge is a first-degree felony.
