Springtown ISD has a new leader overseeing the technology that supports its classrooms, campuses and day-to-day operations. The district recently announced Giancarlo Espinal as its chief technology officer.
Espinal grew up on Long Island, New York and moved to Texas with his family in 2008. He earned an associate degree in cybersecurity from Tarrant County College and a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Western Governors University.
While he was in high school, Espinal took a computer class designed to prepare students for the CompTIA A+ certification, which sparked his interest in technology.
