Kolb qualifies for USATF Junior Olympics
Springtown athlete Mariam Kolb qualified for the USATF Junior Olympic Games in the shot and discus.

Springtown High School discus thrower Mariam Kolb will continue her summer track and field season on the national stage after qualifying for the 2026 USA Track & Field National Junior Olympic Championships.

Kolb earned her berth by placing second in the discus and third in the shot put at the USA Track & Field regional meet. She is scheduled to compete July 29-31 in California against many of the nation's top youth throwers.

USA Track & Field is the national governing body for track and field in the United States. The National Junior Olympic Championships is considered one of the premier youth track and field competitions in the country.
