Gary Tidwell has never called anywhere but Springtown home, and his connection to the community stretches back generations.
Tidwell’s roots date back more than a century. His father’s family traveled from Tennessee to Springtown in a covered wagon in 1893, while his mother’s side of the family has lived in the area since the 1860s. Born and raised in Springtown, Tidwell graduated from Springtown High School in 1970.
His father built the auto supply store, A-OK Auto Supply, in 1960 and helped establish the Springtown Area Chamber of Commerce, serving as its first president.
