The Springtown Public Library welcomed families, animal lovers and shelter dogs Saturday during its monthly Paws & Pages pet adoption event, continuing a new partnership with the Springtown Animal Shelter aimed at helping find permanent homes for animals.
The event marked the library’s first dog-focused adoption day after an earlier kitten adoption event drew an overwhelming response from the community.
Library Director Andie D’Avignon said the previous event was so successful that every available kitten was adopted within two hours.
