An elderly Parker County man was beaten and robbed July 16 by a woman who falsely claimed to be a police officer.
According to a news release issued by the Parker County Sheriff’s Office, the 86-year-old man called 911 and told dispatchers someone broke into his home and robbed him. Deputies and investigators responded to the man’s central Parker County home, where the man told them he had been struck on both arms and, on his chest, and placed in a choke hold during the home invasion-style robbery.
The victim told investigators he heard someone banging on his back door announcing themselves as police. When he opened the door, the suspect held a strobing flashlight in the victim’s face and forced entry into the residence. The victim said it sounded like a female’s voice yelling at him, demanding money, or he was going to jail. The victim told investigators he was struck by the suspect numerous times in both the arms and the chest before being placed in a choke hold. The victim was able to get a clear view of the suspect and told deputies he recognized her as Jacqueline Smith Johnson — someone the victim knows.
