“My name is Morgan Russell and I will be a senior.”
How long have you been in the band?”
“Band has been my interest for at least six years. I’m now a drum major.”
Do you have any pets?
“I do have pets at home — two cats named Rainman and Nico, a dog named Ellie and a turtle named Frank.”
Do you have a shout out to anyone?
“Yes, to my parents.”
What is your favorite class in school?
“My favorite class in school is history — it’s got to be history.”
Is there one moment in band you’ll never forget?
“One moment I will never forget is walking out into the Alamodome with all the lights shining on you and being super hyped.”
Lebron or Michael?
“No, Lebron is good but that’s only because of longevity. Michael is the G.O.A T.”
What has the band taught you about life?
“It has taught me to respect others, meet new people, how to be a leader and lead people.”
What does life after high school look like?
“Life after high school for me, is going to college — probably Texas State to study music.”
What advice would you give younger band members?
“My advice to freshmen is to get out of your shell and meet new people because you’ll make so many new friends.”
