Although it’s not Springtown High School’s official fight song or alma mater, “POJO Magic” has become part of the Friday night soundtrack for generations of Porcupine football players and fans.

SHS graduates Mark Bryant, Dru Doggett and Paul Bryant wrote the locally created hype song during the summer of 1990. Clips from the recording are still played after Porcupine touchdowns, firing up players and fans more than three decades after the trio recorded it.

“It was something we did for fun when we were in high school,” Mark Bryant said.
