Walker 3rd at Cheyenne Frontier Days

Cole Walker, a 2021 graduate of Springtown High School, took third place in steer wrestling at the 130th Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo in Cheyenne, Wyoming, one of professional rodeo’s premier annual events.

Cheyenne Frontier Days ran July 17-26 at Frontier Park. Established in 1897, the event is known as the “Daddy of ’em All.” Organizers describe it as the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and Western celebration.

Walker built his rodeo career in Springtown before moving into the college and professional ranks. A two-time high school regional steer wrestling champion, he also competed for Springtown’s varsity football team.
