The city of Reno held a groundbreaking ceremony Friday, Aug. 7, for a new 7-Eleven at 4470 E. Highway 199, a development city officials hope will bring additional retail growth to the community.

Representatives from 7-Eleven joined Reno Mayor Hector Bas and members of the Reno City Council for the ceremony.

Reno has relatively few retail businesses compared with surrounding communities, and city officials hope the new convenience store will help spur additional development along the State Highway 199 corridor.
