Springtown put together a 7-2 run at the Top of Texas Tournament Aug. 20-22 in Farmersville, winning seven of nine matches and advancing to the championship bracket.
The Lady Pines opened tournament play Thursday, Aug. 20 with victories over Maypearl and China Spring before dropping their final match of the day to Lindale.
Springtown responded with an unbeaten second day.
