The Springtown City Council unanimously adopted its 2026-27 municipal budget and kept the city’s property tax rate at $0.494822 per $100 valuation during its Aug. 27 meeting.
Although the tax rate remains the same as last year, the city expects to collect $116,642 more in property tax revenue, with $84,753 coming from new property added to the tax roll.
Changes in property values, along with the addition of new property to the tax roll, allow the city to collect more revenue while maintaining the same rate.
