A Springtown couple got a boost in their quest to expand their family and keep siblings together after a variance request they filed with the city of Springtown was approved during a council meeting Aug. 27.
Jeremiah and Lindsay Monreal requested the variance for their home on Chisholm Trail Court so the two-car garage could be converted into living space while maintaining the appearance of a garage from the outside.
Jeremiah Monreal explained to the council that he and his wife have been on an adoption journey for a few years, and the couple currently has three children. In July, they learned their most recently adopted child had a baby brother. The Monreals want to take in the baby so the siblings can stay together, and to plan for the baby’s future needs.
