Springtown and Decatur did not need much help creating a big-match atmosphere Tuesday, Sept. 8 inside the Porcupine gym.
The meeting was a rematch of the 2025 Class 4A Division I Region I final, when Decatur ended Springtownâs historic season with a 3-1 victory. This time, with a packed house and a loud crowd on both sides, the defending state champion Lady Eagles again came out on top, winning in five sets.
Decatur came out strong and took the first set from the Lady Pines, 25-19.
