Springtown Independent School District honored one of the most memorable teams in school football history and one of the players who helped lead it Friday, Sept. 25 at Porcupine Stadium.
Former running back Cameron Rickett, a 2020 graduate of Springtown High School, and the 2019 Springtown football team were inducted into the Springtown ISD Wall of Honor during a pregame ceremony before the Porcupines faced Lake Dallas.
The 2019 Porcupines finished 13-2 and advanced to the Class 4A Division I state semifinals, giving Springtown its first appearance in the state semifinals since 1995.
