Springtown cross-country runners got an early look at the course that will host the District 7-4A championship while turning in strong team and individual performances Oct. 3 at Joe Wheeler Park in Decatur.
The district preview was originally scheduled earlier but was moved to Saturday because of weather.
Springtown’s varsity boys and girls each finished third among 11 teams. The Porcupines also had top finishes at the JV level, with both the boys and girls finishing runner-up among eight teams.
