The following individuals were arrested and charged with felony offenses or with driving while intoxicated between Sept. 10 and Oct. 1.
- Alejandro Garcia Alvarez, 25, of Springtown, was arrested Thursday, Sept. 10 by Springtown police and charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 2, 1-4 grams. Garcia Alvarez remained in custody for an ICE detainer as of Monday, Oct. 5.
- Ryan Anthony Sampson, 37, of Springtown, was arrested Sept. 13 by Parker County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with theft of material aluminum, bronze, copper or brass, less than $20,000 and burglary of a habitation. Sampson was also in violation of parole, and his bond for an earlier charge of theft of property from an elderly person, $30,000-$150,000 was forfeited. Sampson remained in the Parker County jail as of Oct. 5 in lieu of $50,005 bond for the theft of property charge, $20,000 bond for the theft of material charge, and $40,000 bond for the burglary charge. He is also held without bail for the parole violation.
- Ronald Arthur Koeler, 57, of Springtown was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 23 by Parker County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 or 1-B, less than 1 gram. He posted $7,500 bond and was released from jail the following day.
- Lauren Krystal Leonard, 31, of Azle, was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 23 by Department of Public Safety troopers and charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1, less than 1 gram and driving while intoxicated. Leonard posted $7,500 bond for the possession charge and $1,500 bond for the DWI charge and was released from jail the following day.
- Alma Chrystal Sanchez, 35, of Azle, was arrested Thursday, Sept. 24 by Department of Public Safety troopers and charged with driving while intoxicated. She posted $2,500 bond and was released from jail the same day.
- Stephen Brian Sumpter, 55, of Springtown, was arrested Saturday, Sept. 26 by Parker County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 or 1-B, 4-200 grams. Sumpter was released from jail the following day on a $0 personal recognizance bond, which allowed him to be released without paying a monetary bond on his promise to appear in court.
- Terrence Eugene Huffman, 31, of Springtown, was arrested Thursday, Oct. 1 by Parker County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with driving while intoxicated. He posted $2,500 bond and was released from jail the following day.
