As Springtown continues to grow, city officials are encouraging local businesses and property owners to be part of that growth.

City Administrator David Miller discussed Springtown’s economic development during the city’s quarterly business luncheon Tuesday, Sept. 29, including the city’s population growth, conversations with developers and what the city can legally control when a new business comes to town.

“As far as economic development is concerned, we continue discussions all the time with property owners, developers, retailers, professional services providers and prospective employers,” Miller said. “Anything we want to bring in Springtown, we don’t look at it just from a sales tax dollar standpoint. The question is, ‘How does that help people get jobs?’”
