A Parker County teenager faces felony charges after admitting to taking photographs of a younger juvenile and using artificial intelligence to alter the images, making the subject appear nude.
The 16-year-old is charged with possession of child pornography, a second-degree felony; voyeurism/child victim, a state jail felony; and possession of certain visual material depicting a child, a state jail felony. The suspect is currently awaiting juvenile court proceedings.
According to a news release from the Parker County Sheriff’s Office, investigators acted on information they received Sept. 29 from the Celina Police Department regarding a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The NCMEC was notified in July by social media company TikTok that a user had posted images of child pornography onto the platform.
