Springtown ISD superintendent and head of HFCA give their take on school vouchers

In 2023, the Texas legislature saw multiple attempts to get a school voucher program passed to no avail.

On April 3, the House advanced a school voucher bill out of committee and onto the House floor. This bill would allow parents to use taxpayer dollars that would typically go toward their child’s education at a public school to be used at a private institute, if they deem it necessary.
