City administrators give mid-year budget update

On Thursday, April 17, Assistant City Administrator Christina Derr gave the city council a mid-year update on the current fiscal year budget. The presentation also served as the council’s second quarter financial report.

City Administrator David Miller started the presentation by assuring the council and public that the city is in good shape financially and is strong. Derr and a financial consultant put the presentation together.

Derr began by discussing individual funds, the general fund and enterprise funds, walking through projections of where the city thinks the budget will be at the end of this fiscal year, including possible surpluses.
